May was a crazy month for me, between Thomas graduating from UW- Madison, finishing up my junior year at UW Oshkosh, my brother's confirmation and then going on a trip to Virginia Beach! That's why although I didn't get a chance to write a blog post last month, I'm writing two for you all this month.

This first blog is an overview of our trip to Virginia Beach. That vacation was definitely one I will remember for a long time. It was the first big trip Thomas and I have taken together and we went to celebrate him graduating from UW - Madison.
We spent five nights and six days there in one of the nicest hotels I have ever been in. This hotel had three pools and three restaurants inside it and was located right on the beach!
The majority of our time there was spent next to the pool or sitting on the beach.
When we weren't sitting on the beach we were out exploring. We tried a lot of new restaurants in the area that were all within walking distance of our hotel. Of course my favorite place was the Pochahantas Pancake House where I ate way too much food too early in the day! One day there we checked out the downtown area where we got a couple souvenirs to take back home with us. There was also a pier that we walked down, where we saw a fisherman catch a pufferfish and and another catch a crab (which I got a little too close to in order to get a picture of it).

On our last night there we went on a walk down the boardwalk. It just so happened to be the first night that they were starting to play live music on the stage halfway down the boardwalk. We stopped for a while and enjoyed the music and got to see a pretty awesome sunset to end the night!

We cannot wait for our next trip, wherever that may be!
