Cozy in Connecticut & New York Adventures 2020

This year already I have been so blessed with the trips I was able to go on. Thanks to UW Oshkosh, my winter break was super long since I did not take the three-week class this year, so I took advantage of the time off and traveled.

On my first trip, I tagged along with my sweet boyfriend on his business trip to Connecticut. I spent most of the days relaxing by the pool, catching up on reading (because I feel like I don't make enough time to read when I'm home) and worked on some photography business as well.

At the end of every day, Thomas and I would explore the local restaurants near us for dinner. It was a super relaxing week and by Thursday afternoon we were ready to start our weekend adventure.

We took the train from Brewster to Grand Central Station. This was the first time either of us had been on a train so we were pretty excited. Once at Grand Central Station it was definitely a sight to see.

It was so much bigger than I could have imagined and so was the rest of New York. Time Square, Central Park, Empire State Building and the 9/11 Memorial Museum were four of the other big highlights we saw there too.

We would not have been able to experience so much of New York without taking the hop on hop off tour bus. We definitely could have used a little warmer weather though because the top of the tour bus was open and the 30-degree day made for a chilly ride.

Although our time there was short, we packed so many awesome sights into our mini getaway weekend. I cannot wait for our next adventure!
