7 Days in Austin, Texas 2020

So on a Sunday I got back from Connecticut and Monday night I was driving with my friends to Beloit, WI to stay overnight at my friend's house so that we were closer to O'hare to fly out the next morning. I had never been to Texas before so I was very excited to explore!

First, we checked into our Air BnB which was the perfect little place for the three of us. Then we got some groceries and learned how to two-step dance. There were so many awesome sights that we got to see, but I will start with the top food places I would recommend if you ever go there!

If you're looking for a nice brunch place, Snooze was amazing. I am a pancake lover and they had a pancake flight option for breakfast, THREE different flavored pancakes in one sitting. Another spot good for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert is Gordough's. This place serves everything with or on a donut. Of course, if you need good BBQ, Stubbs BBQ was by far my favorite place for that. Torchy's Taco and Pinthouse Pizza were also two of my favorite food places while we were there as well.

Some other highlights from the trip, not food-related, were seeing Magnolia Farms, playing Top Golf, wine tasting at Texas Red and Whites Winery and the San Antonio Riverwalk. This was definitely a highlight of my senior year and I am so happy I got to go on this trip with two of my best friends! Already looking forward to our next girl's trip.
