If you are new to working with me you are probably curious as to how my sessions work. Every photographer does things a little differently, which is why I want to give you insight into how I do things.
Here's how it goes...
Contact Me
Let me know you are interested in finding out more about sessions I offer, prices or dates to schedule.
You can do this a couple of ways, through Facebook, Instagram, my website or email to get the conversation started.
Scheduling
I love being flexible for my clients. We will compare schedules and times to find a date that works before for both of us. Typically my sessions are on weekday evenings or Sundays. Once we have a date set, I will send you a form to give me a little more information on what you are hoping to get out of your session (don't worry this is a quick two-minute form to help me get to know you).
Location
Have a place you'd love them done at? Great, we can work with that. Don't have suggestions? That's ok I've got a few great places we can go to as well. A few of my favorites right now are by Lawrence University, Plamann Park, and Sunset Park (check out these three locations below)!
Day of Your Session
Typically my sessions are either 30 minutes (mini sessions) or an hour long. After we do introductions, the photographing begins. I know not everyone loves being photographed, so I try to keep sessions laid back, fun, and I don't make you pose in any way that you do not feel comfortable.
After Your Session
Now that your session is complete you're probably wondering, when will I get my photos back and where can I order them from? About 2-3 weeks after your session I will have all of your photos edited and I will send them to you online. An example of what that would look like can be found here. I will attach a release form that allows you to order them from any location you'd choose. I typically recommend mpix.com.
Don't worry, in the meantime, I will be sending you a few photos from your session, as well as, posting a few on my social platforms for you to see and share.
Once you have your photos I will send you an email with a post-session form. This gives me feedback on how you felt your session went and if you have any recommendations for me going forward.
If you have other questions about how my sessions work, please contact me! I am always happy to help.
